One summer my husband and I visited Canyonlands National Park. We were lucky enough to arrive at one overlook shortly before a storm. While some people fled before the rain came, my husband and I — among others — took out our cameras.

  1. I love this picture! Thanks for sharing it with us.

  2. caryn i am SO GLAD you started up your photo blog again! i loved your photos before and i am loving the ones you’ve posted now. :) so beautiful. we have not made it down to canyonlands yet, but pictures like this keeps it high on our list!

  3. Thanks, Dru! And thanks for visiting. :-)

Emily, now that I’ve done it, I’m glad, too. And thank you for the compliment on the photos. I have a lot of fun with them, and I’m glad that someone else can get enjoyment from them as well. And, yes, Canyonlands is well worth the visit! I go several times a year and find new things each time.

  4. Caryn,

Cool…maybe I’ll do something similar. Although motivating myself to go through my thousands of photos is almost as hard as motivating myself to write for my blogs! ;)

  5. J.L. — Despite the time it requires, I really encourage you to start one up if you are at all inclined. It’s a lot of fun. Plus, doing this encourages me to use a different aspect of my creativity. Without the blog as an outlet, I almost never take pictures, and when I do I rarely look at them more than once or twice.

  6. You are going to think I am crazy, but I don’t care… My eyes are watering while viewing your photography! I am a beginner and you are such an inspiration to me… your photos produce so much emotion, you are what I inspire to be (a pro). I’m going to link to you from my blog (hope that is Ok with you, but too bad if it isn’t, LOL)

Seriously, if you don’t want me to link to you let me know :)

  7. Oh, SuRi, what a nice thing to say! And I’d be flattered if you linked to me. I love links.
